Mariam Elgammal is a passionate children's book author, blogger, and educator with over a decade of experience captivating young readers.
With a BA in Islamic Studies and a Master's in Islamic sciences, she combines her deep knowledge with a love for storytelling.
Teaching children in the Middle East and North America inspired her to create engaging stories that help young readers embrace their faith and explore Islamic history and culture.
Zaheer Kathri is the founder and captain of Learning Roots, a leading Islamic children’s publisher established in 2004, now reaching readers in over 30 countries.
He has authored several bestselling children’s storybooks and continues to steer the company with international success.
Before founding Learning Roots, Zaheer worked as a Mathematics teacher in London, a Special Project Coordinator at an FE College, and later as Head Master at a private primary school. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in Maths and Economics, followed by a PGCE and a Master’s in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, which laid the foundation for his career in education.
Yasmin Mussa is the Co-Founder of Learning Roots and currently serves as a Director, helping to grow the business as one of the world's leading Muslim publishers for children.
Having authored several best-selling children's books, she has also helped pioneer an Arabic language curriculum program that continues to benefit thousands of children worldwide.
Yasmin has a formidable track record in education leadership, spanning 20 years, having founded two Islamic supplementary schools and earlier served as Head of Department at four educational institutions.
She continues to help support and grow the Islamic Education sector through her consultancy work.
