Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi is a prominent Pakistani-American Muslim scholar, theologian, and imam.
He holds degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, a BA in Hadith Studies and an MA in Islamic Theology from the Islamic University of Madinah, and a PhD in Religious Studies from Yale University.
Qadhi is the dean of The Islamic Seminary of America and the resident scholar of the East Plano Islamic Center, and is known for his extensive lectures, books, and academic work combining traditional Islamic education with a Western academic background.
Zaheer Kathri is the founder and captain of Learning Roots, a leading Islamic children’s publisher established in 2004, now reaching readers in over 30 countries.
He has authored several bestselling children’s storybooks and continues to steer the company with international success.
Before founding Learning Roots, Zaheer worked as a Mathematics teacher in London, a Special Project Coordinator at an FE College, and later as Head Master at a private primary school. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in Maths and Economics, followed by a PGCE and a Master’s in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, which laid the foundation for his career in education.
